Thanks for starting this thread! I was thinking of asking the same question myslef since my poly-coated, 62 *** reissue is in all other respects a fabulous guitar, but just developed the same sort of crack everyone here describes about 9 months after I bought it.

Reading all the various replies, it's reassuring to learn that I'm not the only one.

I'm not going to worry about it. I'll just keep half an eye on it and take remedial action if necessary.
