Same old problems with MIM pickups
Ok,
So I am finally over my fix about sticking with the stock MIM pickups. They are very clear sounding, but simply don't have the bright and glassy sound of a classic strat. I stand convinced that it is the difference between the ceramic and alnico magnets.
Here is my dilemma: I am going to change the pups in my MIM strat soon and don't really know what to get. I like the sound of the Custom Shop 69s I hear on youtube, but really don't care what they are as long as I can get that classic strat sound with a little bite.
Any suggestions?
