I too have read that Neil Schon does this.......somehow I believe he was being tongue and cheek and is not chuckling at all the players who use salami to condition their guitar fret-boards!! I like Fret-Doctor and use it once a year. First clean the gunk off with naphtha, then lightly apply fret-doctor, wait for it to soak in and wipe off. Makes the rosewood appear darker in a lot of cases.
