Have to agree with Astro,sound/tone is subjective.I started making these blocks after i made one for myself.I fitted it to my '87 MIK and the first thing i noticed was the acoustic difference and the way the body resonated against me.It also lost that "whooshy" spring sound that was there before with the zinc block.I noticed it sustains right up high up the fretboard.Like Astro says its subtle but you know it's there.
