Hi Dennis.
It's a '72 that I found almost 8 years ago. A lucky score that I paid too much for but worth every penny.

Time will take care of paying too much for it, but in the meantime, you have an awesome '72 Fender Bass there to enjoy for all your own! Congrats!

There is a unique set of Custom Shop Basses at my local dealer. Blue Flower Power pattern and Pink Paisley. A tad to high on price for me, but both are nice nonetheless.

Are these the Telecaster basses? I looked at Japanese versions a few years ago and they were at $600.

That's the one I was thinking of. What does it have for a pickup? The Tele style or the modern PBass unit?

I'll speak to the sales guy I know there when I stop in tomorrow. I'll ask him if I can photo both along with their cases/case candy...

20 Strats, 8 Teles, 5 Basses, 4 Martins, 1 Gibson Les Paul Standard, 1 Gibson 335, 1 Rickenbacker 330, 1 Larrivee D03R, and a few lesser name guitars, my collection is somewhere around 40 to 50 guitars, it is part of my retirement. I need to take some pictures of the rest of them. Its a lot of fun to take people to my music room to play with my toys.

My definition or retirement is different than most peoples. I sold my business 2 weeks before my 46th birthday, at that time I told myself I was retiring. That meant I would do everything in my power to do the kind of work I wanted to do as much and as long as I want to. I still work, but most days I get up when I want and work as long as I want. I could never stop working all together. I have a wonderful life and I am very grateful for it, I consider myself the luckiest guy I know.

Site Admin, that's a beautiful looking bass. I'd walk on hot coals from London to Liverpool to own one. Noel Redding was one hell of a bass player. I recall reading when Noel turned up for the Experience auditions he presumed Chas Chandler was reforming the Animals, so Noel (a guitar player at the time) turned up to try out for the lead guitar spot. They told Noel they already had a guitar player (the understatement of the century) then asked him if he was interested in playing bass. It's also interesting to watch old clips of Jimmy Page playing bass with the Yardbirds.
