She Said Yes !!!!
Finally ! I can jam in the living room along with the cable music channels without lugging an amp around. The wife wouldn't let me leave an amp in the living room, BUT, she said I could put an old Voice of Music console extension cab in there "because at least it looks like furniture". I bought it at an estate sale for peanuts, and it has a 12" alnico 4 ohm speaker in it. Since I bought an EVJ mini stack today, now all I have to do is carry the head in there and hook it up.
Buying that mini stack is the best move I ever made for my needs. My Sano is too loud for practice, so now I've got a super light low watt head I can move easily from room to room as needed. The Epi cab will stay in the computer room, and I have a 212 in my music room. The Sano amp and 212 cab are too big for the computer room and I've missed having an amp in here.
Cool NGD

lol, I realized that the title would indicate that after I posted. Anyhow, I'm pumped up about it. I haven't even heard the Epi yet. It was in the shop I deal with and disapperared for a week or so. I thought they sold it. Turns out one of the staff borrowed it. I asked if it had any issues and he said no, so that's good enough for me. Staff is awesome there. There was someone checking out another amp, so I just grabbed it.

Indeed ! Only catch is I have to go get her a milkshake here in a few minutes. I can live with that.
She saw the head, and didn't say anything. She usually keeps tabs on what's already here. If she doesn't notice the cab I'll be good to go lol. Worst case, I'll get a cold stare. Those blow over though

That head is awesome! I use it to power a 1964 Harmony 2X12 and it sounds great but I have to mod it just because. Check out this site: BitMo BRAT Mod Kit for Epiphone Valve Junior Amp Great stuff for the VJr.

Nice. Glad you found a solution to that little problem lol.
I have a Peavey Valveking 112 behind the end table in the corner of our livingroom lol.
Out of sight and still sounds great and is easily accessible. Just another idea for anyone else out there with the same predicament.

We have an old RCA Victrola cabinet that has been gutted and it has a cut out for a 12" speaker, so I intend to do something similar with an old CTS speaker out of an organ and my Champion 600 (or go one step further and build an amp kit into the chassis!).

Cool. I kept trying to avoid these smaller amps for awhile, but reality finally sunk in. Amps with 2 EL34's aren't the best choice for practice amps lol.

Yea, I noticed that when I finally fired it up. The Eminence 12 in the cab sounds ok, but when I hooked it up to my 4 ohm 212 w/Celestion G12L's it was like I modded it or something. Huge difference. Both are 70 watt cabs, but the 212 is a closed back/slant cab.

That'll work Haven't tried it with the VOM cab yet. I've got to put a jack on it. It has an old alnico 4 ohm 12 in there and a smaller 3-4 " speaker. If I don't like it, I've got 2 12's in an old '59 RCA phonograph console I can try.
Post pics when you get it yours set up !
