sevycat Strat-Talk Member Join Date: Aug 2008 Location: Springfield, PA Age: 48 Posts: 30	Breathing life into my sound I purchased an 89 Mesa Boogie Mark III Green Stripe short combo amp. The difference between my, old solid state amp, Fender cybertwin and this Boogie, tube amp, is like day and night. I don't play metal. I am not sure why metal style player's love the Boogie mark IV amps, but I will say that the mark III amp I got is right for my style of playing. With this amp I am able to dial in tones that I like. I can't stress how much of an impact a good amp has on your sound. Before you go out and do mods to your guitar, make sure that the amp you have is doing your sound justice.
