Super Twin Reverb

Does anyone remember, or has anyone tried one of these amps. I think that the Super Twin Reverb was made in 1977-1980. I just picked one up and couldn't believe it. This amp has a clean channel that rivals my Fender SuperSonic.

At 180w @ 4 Ohm, it has amazing headroom and is probably one of the loudest amps I have ever heard. It has a pull out bright switch on the volume control, and a master volume. It has treble, middle and bass controls that have a very wide-range of tone. It also has a built-in equalizer/harmonic balancer.

The only bad thing is the distortion on the amp is the pits. It sounds like crap, but it sounds great with a pedal like the bad monkey.

Anyone else remember or have one of these?

When those are serviced right, it should stomp that SuperSonic volume-wise. The distortion on those did suck. It isn't you! LOL! It was never that good. Ted Nugent used them in the late 70s.

I just sold my SuperTwin Reverb to help finance the cost of my new 70 Twin Reverb in head/cabinet format. Great amp....heavy as hell!

I ended up doing the same thing with my '65 Twin RI. I have a healthy back and want to keep it that way.

Yes, I have one. I don't play it much though. There is footage of Ted Nugent Live and he has many (how many I don't remember) on stage with him. Could you imagine how loud his set up was from the front row?!
