I got a 1994 Classic 50. Second year production and the first year with an effects loop (which I've never used). I'll never sell this amp.

Delta Blues 115. And before anyone gives me grief for not having the "cod piece" on...I took it off because it was just one more thing to rattle.
Anybody want to buy a Schwinn exercise bike?

Hugh, You could say it's got some bottom end

You can find them on CL. That's where I found the complete rig for only $475. The guy had just had a kid and was downsizing and wanted to unload it quick to make room in his house. It was a one owner, no stains on the tweed and always in a smoke free environment. There's 1 small tear on the one of the cabinets that's about half the size of a dime.

I think the older style tweed Classics are some of the best sounding amps out there for the money. They also have a big fan base with LP owners who play blues and southern rock. Definitely a series I would recommend to someone buying their first tube amp.

My first amp was in 1977 and it was a huge Peavey Musician. That thing sounded awful but I was 15 and it was loud. I'll dig up an old pic and post it later,

I just bought a used Classic 50 212. Love it. Does anyone know how to date one of these? I'd love to know when it was built.

Email the serial on the back to Peavey customer service and they'll tell you the date it was finished.

Behind my 83 two knob is my barely recognizable Classic 50 4X10. 93 or 94 I believe (no FX loop). The previous owner did the DIY custom stain and art work. I saw it on e-bay and I had to have it. I don't have any better pics on this computer but I'll try to get some up later.
