A few o my songs

I have 3 songs up on my website:

www.dixieduncan.net

and my myspace:

www.myspace.com/dixieduncan

I played all of the instruments. All the guitar work is acoustic. I'm doing an electric album soon.

Wow Dixie... that's great stuff. I really liked "Circles". The playing, the singing, the production and the song are all great.

Way to go buddy. I'm looking forward to the electric LP.

Do you record in a pro studio or in a home studio?

I know you were looking for pickups that aren't noisy when recording. I think you should check out some Bill Lawrence pickups. He makes all manor of Strat pups that don't cost an arm and a leg and also are noiseless but not soul less. And he makes higher output versions too if that's what you want.

Bill is in his 70's but is the premier pickup designer alive today. He designed the Fender SCNs that replaced Lace Sensor. They build them under license from Bill. Actually, every major and many minor guitar manufacturers by or license from Bill.

I've gotten to be friends with Bill and his wife Becky from NAMM shows and let me tell you, he's like a rock star there with every manufacturer and major talent in the place coming by his booth to chat with "the man."

Here is a member of my Telecaster webpage named Arlo, Bill and I at this years' summer NAMM. He's showing us a brand new pickup design (it was fantastic but not out on the market yet):

I do all of the acoustic instrumental stuff at home since there are no drums n vocals. I'll be lookin for a pro studio for the electric lp.

I looked at 2 of his websites, but couldn't find much info on the pickups. Perhaps I went to the wrong place?

Here's the link to his "Wilde" pickups that I was talking about (noiseless)
http://www.wildepickups.com/The_Wilde_Collection.php

Tell them Paul Green sent you to them.

Bill makes so much money from the manufacturers any more he can hardly be coaxed into making and selling pickups directly.

At Summer NAMM he was demoing his newest design. Not on the market yet. It's really a huge break through in pickup design. A regular single coil with no noise and great single coil sound. Really, it's so simple you'd wonder why no one else thought of this before. But Bill is thinking about pickups from morning till night 365 days a year. And he's been doing it for over 50 years.
