So did you end up liking the Accomplice? I intend on ordering the Accomplice kit later this month(tax refund). I can't remember seeing a bad review on any of his amps. I realize this is an old post. Thanks

Never used one (or even seen one in-person), so I can't speak to their sound, etc...

I've never heard one either. But I've always wanted to. They seems pretty interesting. I've heard some complaints about some of his electronics that he sells, some of the kits are not all that great.

His amps seem to be a good entry level build-it-yourself kind of thing.

Looks like a Fender with John Mayer type knobs. Like the look and would be interested to hear the tone.

Nice Amps!

Allen Amps makes some great sounding amps, with good components inside. I have built two of his kits (Class Act and V-18/Sweet Spot). Both were excellent kits with all parts included. The V-18/Sweet Spot is based on the Fender Princeton Reverb circuit, and nails that tone!

As far as the Allen Amp kits go, most of the Allen Amp models are available as kits. So when you start seeing reverb, full tone stack, power tube bias jacks/pot, RAW control, tremelo, master volume, etc. ... you are way beyond an "entry level" type kit.
