Customization Help

I have a Mexican Standard Stratocaster and I want to replace the pickguard. Can someone please tell me how to remove the volume and tone knobs without damaging the guitar? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You should be able to pop the knobs right off with a spoon, and then un-screw the washers and the pots will drop right out. The fun part in strat operation is putting the pikups back on the pickguard. Not really that hard, but takes a little pre-thought.
