vox wah problem

ugh my vox wah pedal is tickin' me off!. theres something wrong with the input...when all plugged in it will make a hellacious loud buzzing noise so then i have to jiggle it around then it's ok..but if the instrument cable moves a certain way the noise is back! so then i have to bend down real fast and jiggle it all around again.. this is only on the input side. has anyone had this problem or know how i can fix it myself? i thought i'd ask a few people before spending money on it.

Depending on how it's wired it could be a loose solder joint in the pedal. Perhaps a ground wire.

I'd just pull it open and inspect. Also try another cord.

+2 If the pedals older and the jacks been used a lot, it could be the jack contact. Pull the base off and take a look.
