Volume Pedals Anyone?
So, who here uses a volume pedal? I am thinking of getting one and would like to know what you all have used and found useful.

I use a vox volume pedal. It was originally bought out of necessity because the volume pot in my Gibson was shot, but I still use it even though my problem was fixed. It's completely passive, so you never have to replace a battery, and fully adjustable. I'll usually adjust mine to where if I rock it back, I still get a low gain sound (so I don't always have to switch channels to get a clean-ish sound). I would definitely recommend it. Makes it a ton easier to do volume swells and the like.

I have played a few of them since I first posted but have not yet found one that I like. I am sure that I could get along with any decent volume pedal, but, I guess I have become a bit of a snob. Oh, well.
Any suggestions for good ones?
Bob

Do you mean that you've played a few Vox volume pedals, or just a few in general? Granted, there are dozens of brands available to you, but finding a volume pedal isn't exactly rocket science. They all do basically the same thing.
It really boils down to what YOU want out of a volume pedal. I've found that most of the major brands of volume pedals are very similar in design and function. Personally, I prefer the Vox pedal, namely because it fits in with my other pedals well (Practically identical to my CryBaby), and it's very easy to use and customize. Perhaps a Morley pedal would be to your liking? Again, it has all the same features as the Vox, just in a different outer design. Let's not forget that if you don't like the action of a particular pedal, you can always modify it to your particular preference. Hell, you can even change the pot that comes with it to something more your style.
For less than $100, I choose the Vox.

I was thinking of giving the Fender Volume/Tone pedal a try when one shows up at my local dealer....

I can't live without a VP. Currently I'm using an Ernie Ball and it works fine.
Morley makes the nicest volume pedal I've ever had. Need to get another come to think of it.....

I have not seen a Vox or Morely volume pedal here where I live. Is it possible to get some sort of active volume pedal that sort of functions as a line booster as well? Maybe something more like a preamp?
Just thinking out loud.

I like the idea of the side-to-side tone control integrated into the volume pedal... Anyone like multi-use volume pedals like this?

When I roll off the volume on my Tele I loose some of the treble (and I installed a treble bleed). Do volume pedals have the same impact on the higher frequencies?

I'm also curious about the Visual. I am using a EB VP JR for now.
