Top 10/ Top 5 Must Have Effect pedals

You're on a desert island. All you have is your favourite guitar and amp (solar powered) and a magic lantern.....

Your first wish is obviously your Top 10 effects pedals. What are your Top 10?

Due to a mix up in the genie's delivery room, only five arrive and they just happen to be your Top 5. What are your Top 5?

Your third wish is obviously for a bar in which to play live on stage, to adoring fans and everything that goes with it, including unlimited bar snacks.

(reason for asking is that i'm trying hard to be as selective as possible while buying effects pedals. my thing is that i'm not a pro or even gigging guitarist, I just really enjoy playing, so I don't need to be too concerned about filling a stadium with sound, just as long as I can get as close to what I like to hear, myself)

If I were to have a really good guitar and a really good amp, I don't think I'd want any pedals. Silly but it is probably true.

If your amp doesn't have reverb, then a reverb pedal is the number one necessity IMO. If you have reverb, then tremolo is what you need.

All of my amps have it save for the champ 600 but then it really doesn't need it.

deucetone rat, korg pitchblack, ctmatmods deluxe compressor, nano muff, modded TS9 (just back to the original TS9 specs), van halen MXR phaser. And since I am alone on a desert island with no one to disturb or complain, I guess a selection of incredibly loud valve amps.

C'mon man pedals are the spice of life!

To the OP - It all really depends on what type of music you intend on playing but if you are going for a general must-haves I would say that with the expectation that you have reverb on your amp I would suggest getting a distortion/overdrive (this is where the music and amp type come in to play), and a chorus pedal. After that its really up to you and what type of sound you are going for. Thats the beauty of it all.

with a tube amp, mine would be these 5

- high headroom clean boost
- parallel compressor
- very low gain overdrive
- volume pedal
- analog delay

add others to meet your needs

I'm almost at my 5th pedal!

Currently it's : TC Polytune --> Keeley Katana --> Keeley mod Blues Driver --> Digitech Jamman Stereo looper

I've got a Modtone vintage Wah pedal on the way
Ones I would still like: a vintage TS808, Keeley Fuzz Head / Roger Mayer Fuzz.

The first one would have to be a solar powered Pedal Power ISO 5.

Then it'd be something like the following:

Univibe (Deja-vibe or T-Rex)
MXR CC
Wah of some kind
Compressor of some kind

Sounds like someone is going to be rockin' some Floyd? I don't think you could get a better combination of pedals!
