Hi, I'm using a Hotrod DeVille 212 and would not swap it for anything now i have the tone I like. Using the clean channel all the time only switch on and off the bright button. Having used plenty of amps this takes some real beating on clean and I compared this to the Vox AC30c1 before I purchased it.

I've had a Fender Hot Rod Deville 4x10 (new from Musicians Friend) for about 9 months. I really like this amp, although I had preamp tubes go out quite early and had them relaced. Clean channel exclusively for me.

TexasGumbo, I have a Ltd Ed Python Hot Rod Deluxe. They built 500 of them. I really like the speaker upgrade over the stock. I have a stock HRD also and did a side by side and the Python had considerably better tone. There are pics in my photo album.
Enjoy your new amp, man!!!

Hello all. I have been shopping for a tube amp for a while and purchased a limited edition Hot Rod Deluxe. I got the red one. It comes with a Celestion Vintage 30 speaker. I preferred this one slightly over the standard version. Will try to get some pictures posted. It sounds great with my 2001 MIA Strat and my CV 50's Tele. I am still working on tweaking the drive channels to my liking. Got a good deal on it on a promotional Sam Ash deal.

Has anyone tried (or, successfully completed) taking the amp components out and putting them into a seperate head cab? I've been thinking about that for a while, my Deville 4x10 is too heavy/bulky to move around easily. I'm not very handy (nor do I have the tools/workspace for this type of project) but I'm curious what outcomes other people might've had with this

Highests to Lowest would be Bass, Treble, Middle for me. Exact numbers would be like 8 on the Bass, 6 or 7 on the treble and 2 or 3 on the Mid.
When using the 1st Drive Channel I'll set it between 2 - 4 just for a little bit of bite but nothing huge.

Do you guys have any preferred settings that you like to use? My ear isn't great and I'm interested to know what other Deluxe players reccomend

Hey Trigger...
I'm currently doing something similar as I often play on the Clean Channel but will use the 1st Drive Channel to add a little bluesy feel to things but instead of the 2nd Drive Channel I will use a Big Muff Pedal and I'm waiting on a Boss Blues Driver that I ordered to eliminate the need for the 1st Drive Channel.

I've only just got my Deluxe and so far i'm really impressed! The clean channel sounds so nice, which is exactly what i wanted it for. I use the clean channel mostly, and occasionally the first drive channel. For the extra drive I use a MI AUDIO 'Crunchbox', which is based on a Marshall high gain sound. Played through this amp the pedal sounds great. I am considering buying another pedal (probably the MI AUDIO Blues Pro) to replace the first drive on the amp, but as for the clean channel, i wouldn't change a thing! it gives off such a beautiful tone. I am giging with it for the first time in two weeks, and can't wait to hear the results.
