Hello there fellow strat lovers.
Thought i'd join up to a forum as i always have loads of questions and love talking about guitars, but i seem to be the only person i know in my area who can talk non stop about guitar playing, fixing, modifying and everything else guitar and music-wise.
Anyhoo, i'm a music student from the tiny town of kelso in southern scotland. i've been playing for about 5-6 years and have had my current (and first ever) Fender Strat for nearly 3yrs. its quite worn. its very worn actually. :P I like to play allsorts, Rock mostly, anything with really big spaces for improvising. I like to play jazz and shred, but listening to someone else do it aint as fun. I prefer to try and figure stuff out by ear before reading the sheet music, i just feel it helps me put my own style into a song and helps with ear training.
Most of all i like to learn from more experienced players, and explain/teach things to anyone who is curious like me. I guess im basically on a giant mission to figure out everything, its a good task to set myself i believe, as it will never be complete.
