New blues mix-Last one to know
I added some new parts to this blues tune, some tremolo guitar and worked on the drum parts a bit. Give is a listen and help me hammer it into shape!
Thanks in advance, too!

The Lyrics~
Last one to know
Woke up to new dawn this morning, but inside I feel the same
Woke up to new dawn this morning, deep inside I feel the same
You played me for such a fool
So I'm left alone with my just my shame
I felt torn up this morning, and torn down the rest of the day
I felt torn up this morning, I felt torn down the rest of the day
I'm in the sight of a wrecking ball
Just can't move out of it's way
Solo
I felt torn up this morning, felt torn down the rest of the day
I felt torn up this morning, and torn down the rest of the day
I'm in the sight of your wrecking ball
Just can't move on out of the way
They say love is blind and they sure got it right
They say that love is blind and they sure got it right
You know it's so
I was the last one that didn't know

I really like the phrasing in the intro... just a suggestion, but it'd have been nice to hear some more of that phrasing bewtween vocal lines.
Is that you on the harp? Nice!

Thanks a lot Donovan, I was thinking about adding some Les Paul lead bits-the intro and outro are a Gibson Melody Maker with a P-90 pickup-the rhythm guitar is a thinline Telecaster copy and the Tremolo is an Epiphone SG.
All the parts were played by me.

I have been listening to quite a lot of Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac CDs lately. And I see that Christine Perfect-later McVie was in Chicken Shack-I was thinking there was a connection to Fleetwood Mac.
If I recall correctly Danny Kirwan played a Les Paul (Gold Top maybe?) with P-90 pickups.
I will need to check back into some older songs I have done and re-record them with the new technology-I don't even have anything to play the old cassette 4 tracks though...time to see how well my memory can remember that stuff.

I like that Ascending turnaound, a lot. Vocals work well, Guitars work well. Now here's my constructive critisism. IMHO, your keyboard line is playing the same thing as the rhythm guit. They should counter each other, rather than cancelling each other out. Just my 2 cents. The recording quality is danm nice too... well done.

Thanks a lot Crispy, I stumbled upon that ascending turnaround when I was jamming on some blues 20 years back or so. I like the way the chromatic climb pushes the chord structure-I don't recall it in a blues song but I'm sure it's been done a thousand times before.
I can see what you are saying with the guitar & keys, play them like a kick drum and the snare on the off beats. I'll definitely look into reworking the organ part-that was good advice!
The harp solo was a cheap Nady ribbon mic and a plate reverb in my recording software-it turned out to give me the club sound I was hearing in my head.

Hey Tony, thanks for sending that song, they had some cool variations to the standard blues form. I liked it a lot.

Thanks a lot Bowhunter-I tried for a vintage sound for this one.
