I've recently purchased a very nice solid body S-style Pignose electric guitar. Resonant 3-piece solid wood sunburst body, impeccable fit and finish, excellent playing neck [rosewood fingerboard on tinted maple], traditional S-tremelo, wonderful sounding alnico pups, low noise [I'm pretty sure its shielded], and no markings besides the Pignose brand on the headstock. My friends at the store where I purchased it second-hand for $80 said it was a vendor's demo. At a minimum, IMHO, I believe it would hold its own with the Fender MIM Deluxe Strats I've played.
I changed out the Pignose volume knob and tone knobs for a set of matching Fender knobs; and put a set of graphite string trees on. That's all for the mods.
I can't find any information on it on the web, except a few reviews on Harmony Central. Can anyone tell me more about the model and why Pignose apparently quit making them?
Thanks
