Your fav. Strat copy?
I really like the SX models, Tokai, and anything japanese. I also love Charvel strats. They're great stuff!

Mine...
But if I hadn't built it back in the early '80s, I probably would have bought a Tokai then.

Callaham
Of course.....
Kinda rare. But kinda great as well. Mine plays and sounds better than any Fender I've ever had my paws on.

Thanks, it's a 1-piece quilted maple body from Mighty Mite and a 1-piece maple neck from ESP. The pickups are Seymour Duncan SSL-1, the brass parts are from Rockinger, e.g. the hardtail bridge with string through body bushings on the back. Some of our old cover band demos were done with it, too, e.g. El Diablo (ZZ Top), She don't love me (ZZ Top), Swingtown (Steve Miller Band) and Every breath you take (Police). The clips with "-pro" in the file name are encoded with mp3PRO, so you won't hear the highs above ~7kHz without a mp3PRO decoder, but they are backwards compatible to a normal MP3 player and sound a bit better than AM radio then.

Carvin makes several different S-type models. I'm not sure I'd go for one, but they make high quality gear. I do like the DC a whole lot. You can pick out your options, and you have a full money back guarantee if you don't like it. I have a Carvin Carved Top and love it.

I like my Cally too!
Mine has echoes of a '54. 2-tone 'burst, 1 pc swamp ash, flame maple neck, Fralin underwounds, club neck.

I think this one is interesting... I bought it for my son a year ago when he started taking lessons. It's a Silvertone (made by Samick). It plays great, and the sound is excellent, comparable to my MIA strat. A couple months after he got it, we were surprised to find that it didn't match up with any models on their website... sealed tuners, ebony fretboard, etc.
We did a little investigating, and discovered it's a prototype that never made it to production. Whatever, it's a very sweet guitar (if you ignore the headstock).

Mine is my cheapass washburn strat copy. Its black with a rosewood fretboard. It sounds plays like **** and doesn't sound that great, but I could never part with it!! Then again it was my very first electric.... so its priceless to me.

Rockinger!!!
Hello everybody !!!
I am glad to be member of this STRAT FORUM!!! :D:D:D
I recently bought a Rockinger 2 tone sunburst stratocaster !!
It's a perfect lightweight guitar, awsome looking (look at the grain of this 2 piece alder), with AMAZING sounding pickups, perfect neck and frets!!!
It has vintage look, with a modern neck (9" radius and medium jumbo frets).
Also the tremolo has a STEEL block, that produces a perfect balanced and crispy sound!!!
The tuners are Kluson Deluxe.
I would like to share some photos with you:

No, mine's a USA Daytona. I understand the Slammers are nice guitars, though.

I was never a big fan of the WIDE string spacing on the Hamer Daytona strats, otherwise I'd say those would be my favorite. I guess I would have to say a Hamer Slammer since that has been the only strat copy I have both played and liked. I think that was before they were sent off to be made in Korea, though. On the other hand, Korean guitars seem to have gotten a lot better in recent years.
I hear SX and Agile copies from RondoMusic can be great, and they are Korean made.

Yeah, it's kinda nice. Obviously, the electronics were baaaaad. I was about to restore a 1993 MIM Squier but the guy I bought it from (a friend) wants it back now for sentimental reasons. Oh, well.
So now I'm thinking about giving the Slammer a good restoration job.

I'll second the Hamer Daytona's. Owned 5 over the years and still have 2. G&L Legacy's are very nice.

I vote for the Tyler! I have played a couple here in a local store, all brand new. They are simply awesome.
Don't have one YET, but I will someday.

I love my epi S-310. I've had it since the early 90's, and I've had it refretted and i put a Carvin fully loaded pickgard in it. Recently, I had a Carvin Twinblade put in the bridge position, and sometime I want to put another one in the neck. It's much better quality than my Squiers, and I've got two (squiers).
[EDIT] Since I first posted this message I also got a custom pickguard from pickguards.us, the volume knob on Strats always gets in the way of my picking.

:D Hey gang. I'm a noob here too. My first post so U can kind of get to know me. I too came here from TDPRI. This is a really cool forum as well.
My favorite Strat-Copy that I own (I have 3 that include one of the nicest Squier Fat Strats I've ever played. Nicely modded by me-another topic, an 86 JB Player Pro Series Strat made in NJ w/Floyd rose) is an 86 Mako TS-3 Model

I understand that these imported by Kramer and made in the Japanese Matsumoku factories. Killer guitar with nice, deep body contours and some of the sweetest stock, unknown pickups I've ever heard. Came with real 18:1 Grover Tuners too. I have a song at my Soundclick Site called "Avion" featuring this guitar on the leads. Check It Out
http://www.soundclick.com/musicallymrm Click on my music link and listen to the song "Avion" A sweet sounding guitar no doubt. Best part about it is that I bought at a yard sale for $25.00

No argument from me. I've played a Suhr Strat and it's one of, if not, THE best !

Mine has to be the G&L S-500, although it's hard to call a guitar designed by Leo and George a "strat copy." My own is a G&L Tribute, the Korean-made line, and it is schweet.
