Can anyone ID this guitar?
Looks kinda like a CMI, but no logo to confirm. Neck plate reads made in Japan. That narrows it down! lol! If anyone know...please let me know.

It's hard to see with these small photos. Got anything larger? I'm thinking 80's MIJ copy from one of dozens of factories. Before the lawsuits (actually letters threatening lawsuits) these kinds of guitars were prolifferating at an exponential rate.
I've never see that exact model though.

No larger pics
This was an ebay item, and the bidding is over. It looked a fun project guitar. Here's the URL, but I guess it really doesn't matter now. I lost the bid. Thnaks for the reply, I do appreciate it.

Those photos helped, but after a bunch of searching I can't find any other guitars just like it. I found some Aria's that looked sort of like it, but not really.
Check out this link to see a bunch of weird Japanese guitars: http://www.fatdawg.com/

Yes, there are some many variations coming out of Chinese factories these days it's hard to keep track who's who, or what's what...

Oh, and thats not to say this is a Chinese guitar, it could be a homebuilt, I was just speaking in terms of production numbers....
