Pickup Suggestions
Hey folks, I bought a MIA strat that had a SD mini JB humbucker in the bridge but for some reason i'm not really digging the super high output and was wondering if anybody could suggest a good Fender single coil to replace it with?
Thanks!

You could always just get another American Standard pickup, to match the others. They sell new for around $32 on ebay.

no, doesn't have to be Fender, i just want a good single coil pickup that can hold it's own and also make the second p/up position sound like it's supposed to on a s/s/s strat, within a 100$ budget.

hey, man
that Fender CS69 pickup would be cool..Or you could look up the wire codes for an Am. Standard Bridge pickup using Fender Support, and get 1 of those . That might be best if you like the way the other 2 work together?

I don't think the CS 69 would match up with the other 2 pickups very well. Maybe a Fralin SP43.

yeah, i like how the stock neck/middle sound so maybe i'll go with replacing the bridge p/u that was taken out of it....like ventilatorblues suggested.

yeah, man..I just meant check what colors the wires are supposed to be on it, before buying so you know it's an Am. Standard bridge pickup.
I think this is it .
Fender Am Std Stratocaster pickup - bridge

I'm not clear what the OP's Strat is, or what pickups are in it already? Have we been told this?

CS 69 if you can find a single on Ebay. D.Allen's only come in sets.
I'd recommend the DiMarzio Virtual Solo. Its a stacked humbucker, but sounds very single coil like, and has zero hum. My Am Std bridge pup is lying in a drawer!
