New (old) Keys baby!!

Just got my new (old) piano yesterday. My fiancee's grandma has had this thing in her house for over 60 years. It's an old Cable-Nelson upright. Not top-of-the-line I'm sure...but it'll do just fine for me!

I can play a little...not very well...but have never had the money to buy a piano. Now that I've finally got one...I'm really stoked to dive in and learn how to play it!

Just thought I'd share my excitement with you guys.

Any of you play other instruments?

Nice score! Good luck with learning piano!

I used to play trombone, but that kinda died for me. I bought a trombone off the bay for $10 a while back and spray painted it green. It sounded like crap, but looked hella awesome

Tenor four-string banjo. When I'm not playing blues on the Strat I like to play around with Stephen Foster old time stuff and some Leon Redbone and Jim Kweskin jug band tunes.

Keeps the neighbors away, too.

Thanks guys. Got the verse chords down for 'Imagine' without spending more than 10 minutes on the thing. I'll be a piano virtuoso before I know it (yeah right).

Seriously though, I'm pretty excited to actually learn how to play this beast.

Anyone know how much it costs to tune one of these things? I'm told it isn't a do it yourself job. The whole thing sounds a little flat. Good enough to fiddle around with but eventually I'll wanna tune it.

Yeah I play every instrument possible in a band including keys, used to play trombone, and I'm about to learn violin and the oboe again. Such beautiful instruments.

Nice idea. Might be tough to find someone in the market that fits that profile though, because after as many lessons as it took to pay my debt, I'd be DONE teaching!! I don't have the time...and:
