Is there a difference between Chinese bullets and where ever else they came from?
And is it easy to upgrade them? Like are the screw spacing the same as a standard etc.?

there are some members who know a helluva lot more about Bullets than me. all i know is i have two from China. one is 2008, one is 2009. both serial numbers begin with COB. both are solid guitars and i love them both. the 2008 plays a bit better and sounds better. not sure why the sound is so different. but both are huge bargains.

Houseguitarshop-I owned an AM Std, 50 Anniversary Strat that was the same color. Never could find out what it was, it wasn't Sherwood Green. Best guitar I've ever owned!

Thanks Strat-O-Lady!! - The neck took me 3 months alone because I put 12 coats of poly on that puppy. But the rest was a gas to put together. I always wanted a Strat Plus and a 70's Strat so I kind of incorporated the two. You can come by and "steal" it anytime when your in the NYC!

Thanks Pesky. Great tone from this, and one of the warmest sounding strats I've heard. Modded many years ago with David White pups and a Chandler steel block.

macnik - that is one beautiful guitar. I love the aged white or cream color pups and guard with the rosewood neck. AND of course the seafoam..... yeah I'm a little partial to that color. That is what I call a head turner. If you ever get tired of it......

Thanks Seafoam, really like your comment, but don't know if I could part with it. Over the years I've let so many good old guitars go and regretted it, which is why I now have 5 strats and hanging on to them for dear life despite occasional requests from the family to let some go. Not as many as some guys on the forum though
I always come back to this one for any recording that I do. Guess there weren't too many made of this colour, (and the guy who made the pups passed away some years ago), as I don't come across many on the web.

Hey macnik - I know how you feel with respect to letting guitars go. I am holding on to my 4 Strats as well. They are not the kind that you can easily replace by going to the local chain stores. I can see by the condition of your Strat that it is loved and cared for. It is inspiring though, my next build might just look like yours......as a tribute of course!!!

If you do a build hope you can get a good colour match. I found this colour so deceptive and for many years thought it was blue. The way the light hits it can alter the hue a lot. This one's seen nearly 20 years' of gigs so there could be some colour variation as a result. I may try a build as it's something I never thought about and so many on the forum seem to have done so. Possibly because you have a lot of after market suppliers in the US. BTW Thaus has some good lookers Are those lace sensors on yours, and how do the compare with strat single coils

The Lace Sensors I have are the Blue/Silver/Red config. and they are somewhat different from the traditional Strat sound. The red packs a little punch at 14.5 ohms. But I heard the Lace Golds are more "Strat" sounding. There are a couple of vendors out there that sell seafoam bodies and they differ in hue/color from vendor to vendor. I will never get an exact match to yours which is beautiful but I will probably go with the same body on my seafoam. I might try an ebony fretboard though, the pick of your guitar - the rosewood comes off really dark and it looks nice. I wonder if you took off your pickguard or neck if the color of the body faded that much. But as one who built my own Strat you see pictured as my avatar, you will never get a more satisfying feeling as when you complete a concept of what you wanted. Go for it!!!

I thought that I could find some green in the Splattercaster-no such luck though. It's a black guitar with splatters of gold and white........

Seafoam thanks for the info on the lace sensors. Re my strat as its likely a poly finish I don't know if there will be a colour change, but I'll have a look. I'm sure you get a great feeling every time you look at your strat knowing all the care and effort you put into it. Looks like a great finish too!
