best bar cover songs
Hey all,
Our band currently plays everything from Hendrix and Zeppelin to Maroon 5 and Sublime to Stevie Wonder...
What are some good suggestions for 'must have' bar songs to add to the rotation? What songs have brought you guys success? We're at somewhat of a plateau with ideas for stuff to add...
Any recommendations?
We don't have a keyboard player but songs with light keyboard riffs I can transpose onto guitar and make it work. We don't really do country or metal...but we're open minded if someone has a good recommendation.
Thanks!

Feel Like Making Love and Pour Some Sugar On Me are both good songs to get drunk girls to start shedding unneccasary clothing!

I personally would love to hear someone play "Gimme Back My Bullets." That would make me want to get drunk and shoot off my 12 gauge. LOL
Maybe that ain't such a great idea after all.

If you like "Feel Like Makin' Love", then search for zach brown bands version.....Sounds odd, but its a whole medley of that song and "Lets Get It On", "Angel Eyes", "Strokin", and "Sexual Healin". My Band does the entire thing plus we add in "Girl I wanna Lay You Down" by ALO and Jack Johnson, Crowds normally love it!

+1 for "Pour Some Sugar"
definitely gets the crowd poppin'
"Sex & Candy" & "What It's Like" are a good way to revisit the 90's
"What I Got" by Sublime is a good and easy sing-along with a cool acoustic solo
"Sunshine of Your Love" & "Ziggy Stardust" are 2 of my current gigging favs

I was going to mention this one too. Crowd loves it, plus I get to rip for more than half of the song.

Staying Alive > Play That Funky Music > Superstition > Rollercoaster of Love > Get Down Tonight
That'll knock anybody out.

AC/DC stuff!
Skynyrd, 3 Doors Down, Franz Friednand
That's all I got... but I'm no bar-goer so I'd pass the mike to the next person
