paint and lacquer work

Can any uk members suggest or recommend someone who can can sort out the cracked and chipped paint work on my strat before giving it a much needed respray - sun burst is just not me. Im considering old English white or failing that fiesta red .

I have used Matt Ryan Guitar Repairs in the past but he is based near manchester which might be too far unless you have relatives there or something.

There has got to be a more local luthier I am sure - maybe someone from nearer Surrey know someone to recommend.

Kyri . Thanks for your interest. Im still looking for somewhere more local to me but no joy so far . Manchester would be a nice drive.

Ok so with a change of plan ive decided to do that respray myself, that sun burst really is getting to me.yuk.
The original paint has some very deep chips out of it, im interested to know what others may have used to rebuild the surface prior to priming.

When I did my telecaster I just stripped it right back to the wood, sealed it and then sprayed. Any dings in the body got left there (battle scars!)
