10 Hole Pickguard Problems

Hello, I have an Indian Squier II Strat, and I've been thinking about putting a new pickguard on it. Problem is, these things came with 10 hole pickguards, the ones where the screw above the neck pup is behind the one beside the bridge.

Where I'm going with this is that I need somewhere to order one at. It is an HSS guitar. But, please check before you just post where you got your last pickguard at, because I've checked a lot of websites and I haven't found a 10 hole one yet.

I know there are Lonestar pickguards, but the screw beside the selector switch doesnt match up on those. And, of course, it's a 2 screw humbucker. I have thought about putting an 8 hole on there, but haven't seen any that are exact yet. I'm mostly doing this so I don't need to go to the local guitar shop, just don't want to deal with extra charges he'll throw in there.

I know it's missing a screw and one is mismatched. Leave me alone.

Thanks ill keep this one in mind. I don't plan to do any cutting myself, though. But if it comes down to that, I will.

Don't waste your time messing with non-standard stuff...

1) Take the 10 screw pickguard and throw it in the trash
2) Set a new Fender standard 11 screw pickguard in place
3) Trim if necessary for neck pocket or trem clearance
4) Mark the screw hole positions
5) Lift off the new pickguard and set aside for now
6) Fill any old screw holes that are too near, but not exactly matching a new screw hole
Do this with a round toothpick and some white glue
7) Drill the new screw holes
Install the electronics and pickups into the new pickguard
9) Install the new loaded pickguard
10) String up the guitar and you are ready to rock and roll

I've thought about doing it that way. Thanks for those instructions.
