Noob Question: Pickup Selector Switch Color Change?

I've never changed anything about a guitar before. If I'm having someone swap out a pickguard and pickup covers and want the pickup selector to match, do I have to REPLACE the pickup selector, or merely replace the TIP of the pickup selector?

You can just replace the tip on the switch to match..They are available for american or import strats..You will need an import one for squier..
