Kahler Spyder Tremolo

Ok - through much pain and confusion - my strat has finally been ID'd - it was assempled in the USA with primarily parts (neck and body, electronics,250 pots and all. etc) from Fuji, Japan. What that means is - I DON'T HAVE A CLUE - but that is what Fender has officially told me - the parts shipped in, assembled here - considered USA by them, only series to NOT have a country of origin on neck, since it was imported in-house, etc.. - blah, blah, blah -

Which brings me to this - DOES ANYBODY know where I can buy a Kahler Spyder Tremolo, which is what came stock on these short production Strats? I seen then at Whammy World - for like $250.00, well, not on this guy's budget - so if anybody can help here - maybe knows someone who can help, reasonable price - I would greatly appreciate it. The body is already routed for this trem, since that is how it was done from the factory.... Crazy guitar - not like the HM series, where humbuckers were used with coils - this is the standard S-S-S set up here. Thanks again for any help.

Hey from just down the road...
I had almost exactly the same Strat (gift from wife who knows what I like, but kinda fuzzy on the details...long story there), beautiful Strat, but just too much wammy for this old blues rocker; finally sold it on fleabay (another long story). Anyway, you wanna know about where to find the Kahler; Spyders pop up on Ebay from time to time, usually for a lot less than from Wammi World. I'm not knocking them, they did me OK in filling in the missing parts of the nut before I sold it, but I can definitely see your point in not wanting to invest a whole lot on this guitar.

Good luck on trying to reconstruct the guitar...personally I think those that have advised you to part it out may be right in the end, JMO.

what - half a million comedians out of work, and hear you are telling jokes... What I asked, since common sense doesn't apply, was where, as in what city was it? Where - location - is it from, since I didn't know when I looked it up on craigslist...

the city is listed in the URL, you don't even have to click the link. It's "Hickory". No big deal really, not something everyone would notice right off the bat. But to be fair, I also had a moment of WTF?, it's on craigslist??.

FYI, the fixed bridge in the link will require filling the body. Keep checking craigslist and Ebay. You'll find one in a couple weeks at most.

Man, try to help some one out .... To me the location was pretty obvious but just in case you didn't figure it out it's Hickory, N.C.

Yeah... I don't know what all the fuss is about either.

Most Americans would know that Hickory is still in North Carolina but then again, with what passes for schools these days...

Yes - apparently if someone is a wise - well, but - and you tell them so in so many words, that is a no no... Look - it is what it is.. I am not a big craiglister - so when i click on a link, and have NO IDEA where the city is, sorry - Hickory, NC - not exactly the most talked about city in my history class - I to save time asked a simple question - which I was rewarded with a smart comment back - we are all here to either help, or be helped - so please... Then have the crybaby mentality and report it - dude, grow some... like I said - we are all adults here, for the most part - if I asked a question - it is because I didn't know and was thankful for the initial help. If somebody else asks a question, that may seem OBVIOUS to you, but it is not, why would you treat that person like an idiot - can't you just ignore the question if you are too good to help out, or the question was "beneath you".
