50th Anniversary MIA Strats

On the MIM Strat I was buying, the body wasn't routed for HSH. So
I've been looking into a 50th Anniversary Candy Apple Red, MIA Strat.

These are the same as the American Standard ones, right?
The pickup pockets on the body are HSH and everything?

On second thought, can anyone tell me about Anniversary Strats in general?

they are the same as any other strat of that year....1996 had a gold emblem 2004 had a sticker and sometimes a neckplate....If it's a "special" 50th, it would be sunburst, gold hardware, and a 50th anniversary emblem at the top of the pickguard... and a special case .....sellers on ebay routinely make a big deal about anniversary models, knowing that all american strats from that year (1996, 2004) are anniversary strats...dont believe the hype

Every MIA strat of 2004 had the neck plate engrave 50th anniversary. It doesn't make them specials....but there is a deluxe model in sunburst with that special case and all the candies that was a 50th ann. special edition. That specific one might worth a bit more, but mostly because it's a deluxe more than being a 50th ann. edition. Any other Strat from 2004 are only... 2004... not better or special. Like says ORLANDO MIKE, a lot of Ebay sellers are trying to make you believe they have a special edition, but it's only the neck plate that is different from any other years MIA Strat.
