Same Problem, Different Day, how do I handle it?
Got up in the morning, checking emails, drinking coffee and my Strat is sitting right next to me. The anticipation to pick it up and start playing is overwhelming. If I touch it I will get NOTHING done today. This truly is a problem. If it winds up around my neck it won't come off till I go to bed tonight. How do I handle this problem??????

Set some goals for things you'd prefer to get done, then pick up the strat as a reward.

Hide it... or take your work elsewhere I face the same problem everyday... just make sure you come back to your axe when you're done with work... playing would feel so much better then

I'm an online student (6 months away from my BSEET ). I cannot have a guitar in the same room with me when I'm doing school work.

I had the same situation during one of my "work from home" periods. Needless to say, little-if-any work got done. Picking up the Strat, as well as others, turned out to be a wise decision!

That's why I like this forum; I've DEFINITELY wasted numerous days (last Thursday) playing my Strat instead of working.

I just don't understand why you have to stop playing when you go to bed. You can make chords lying down.

I've fallen asleep playing my guitar.
Good bed partner though, and she doesn't hog the blankets.
