I dinged my strat - and I am happy!!!

I have a 08 Am Strat - Candy Cola.

Today I was sitting on the floor holding it, while moving some things around and....... BANG!!

I guess I wasn't paying attention and somehow hit it with the corner of a pedal. Small dent, slight little crack.

I actually feel good about it, I was always worried about something like that. Afraid to get even the slightest scratch on it - was way too carefull!! But since I know I will never sell it, I realized that it doesn't matter. I love this guitar and over the years it will get more dents, many scratches and probably hit the floor a time or two.

I have dinged and broken myself up over the years and my wife still loves me.

Now I get it!!

Dave

hey congrats man, lol.

I'm the same way with my CV50's, been treating it like it was made of glass, (except when I'm actually playing it.) So the past few band practices I've been intentionally letting my belt buckle ride against the back of the guitar.

And I also feel better now that it's gotten some 'wear' on it.

A strat ain't a strat unless she's got some scrapes and bruises. They sound better that way
