Strat neck radius

I'll soon be getting an '03 MIM strat. Seems I read somewhere that they have a flatter neck radius than older 70's and 60's. And more of a satin finish than the older high gloss. Anyone know the info?

Depends on which model you are getting! I have a MIM 50's classic and it has vintage radius..........I think the standards all go with a more modern 9.5 radius.

The Player Strat is also a MIM, and has a radius of 12." Great feel.

The standard comes with the more modern 9.5 inch radius (flatter), medium jumbo frets, and the modern C profile. Vintage radius is 7.25 (more rounded) and can be any number of neck profiles. Vintage frets are the thin small ones.......

real original US made strats from 1954 - approx 1980 were 7 inches - the modern "vintage" 7.25 came in with the USA reissues in about 1982 - the *** fender reissues got it correct at 7 inches - easy to check .. take the nut out of an original guitar and assuming noboy has tampered with the nut slot it is always 7 inches - try and put in a premade 7.25 replacement nut and it rocks about. well it has done on the alomost 300 old strats i have worked on maybe the other 40,000 are different !!???
