Lincoln Brewster..
Anybody else out there aware of this guy? Even though my gigs include playing every Sunday at two different churches, I will freely admit that most CC music is missing in the guitar department. Not so this guy. Check out these utubes...

By the way, I am using those pickups and love them. Check out how he gets his tone. A real surprise for an amp snob like me. ALSO--I like the idea of his wiring. Thoughts??

Yeah, as a fellow worship guitarist, it is refreshing to see a guy like Lincoln who actually has some chops... did you know he was originally involved with Journey before he crossed over to Christian Music?

I'd have to look into it, but it is my understanding that Steve Perry kind of recruited him, and had him record or tour with the band... if anyone has better info on this, feel free to correct me. I know on one of his worship concert posters it said something like "formerly of Journey" or something like that.

Yes, the man can definitely play! He recorded and album called "For the Love of Strange Medicine" with Steve Perry around 1994. He's one of the big dogs in Christian music today. When I first saw him about 8 years ago, he was playing a white LP Custom, then the next time I saw him, he was on a Strat. Great player and great guy too.

Got me wondering about a maple neck strat vs my rosewood. Like that has never come up here.

Haha! I've had to explain to people who have seen him that the Twin Reverb or Vox AC30 - or whatever behind him - was not his amp, but only his stage monitor and that the sound coming through the PA was straight from his POD. He was also a sound engineer as well as a guitar player. The guy is as real as they come.

i'm a big Lincoln Brewster fan. I was also surprised when I saw him using the POD board as his "amp". It was a pleasant surprise though. I also saw another video of him doing a recording/brainstorming session and the drummer was on an electric drumkit.

Hello, Do you know how Lincoln has his tone pots wired exactly & to which pickups. Do his strats have a 5-way pickup selector switches or 3-way ones?
Thanks
Michael

Upon reading hal's original post back in August I immediately checked out Lincoln Brewster's playing. Man, he's got some moxie. I've downloaded several of his songs and I've become a real fan.
