petes strats

did anybody notice pete playing them strats at the super bowl?werent them guitars the old eric clapton models? they sounded good to me

Yes, sounded good and PT has been playing EC Signatures (with mods) since the mid-90's.

didnt eric stop using the laces in the 90s, i guess hes going through the retro phase, but to me eric sounds like eric no matter what, then again his style has changed since that period, i didnt mean to make anyone mad if i mis talked about god

I noticed that the strat(s) had an extra knob beside the bridge. What is this, a custom modification or a factory option? On another thread they thought this was a strat plus.

thats for a pickup in the bridge to make it sound like an acoustic

The extra knob behind the bridge let's him dial in the fishman bridge for his acoustic tones. Here's a great youtube vid by his longtime tech discussing all of the ins and outs of pete's red strat.....

Thanks for that info, and for the tip on the video. He evidently blends both the Fishman and the pickups for his typical sound rather than using the Fishman alone for his acoustic stuff?
