My first stratocasteeer!!!!
Finally it arrived after waiting for it something like 2 weeks, it is a 1983 MIJ SQ Stratocaster, here are the pictures. Comparing it to my telecaster, I love the feeling of the strat's body, neck, and overall feel, just different, not better, not worse, but I really enjoy playing in it, (would prefer it to have a maple fretboard but not everything is possible). The guitar is in very good condition, and well I actually don't know why I didn´t liked the tone at all, buzzes a little bit, nothing that can't be repaired, should I change the pickups?, these one I believe they are the stock Japanese ones, later will post a video comparing both of the guitars, so you can please help.
Enjoy the pictures =D as I'm enjoying the feel of this new guitar.

Thanks peskypesky, I'm loving the clean tones, all of them are amazing, just when I put gain in my overdrive channel, not liking it too much, prefer the tele when overdriven (marshall mg50dfx). and Hugh the guitar must be light, the hardshell case plus the guitar was something like 21 lbs, don't know exactly, I'll check it out later. :D

Love the all black guitars but I prefer them with a maple board too.

That strat is down for it- some black tuners would set it off nicely.

its amazing, lol the backward back plate doesnt fit normally, but it does fit like that lol.
2 things, this guitar blows when it has no tone, but why it sounds so strange with all tone, also just middle+bridge position (i guess #2) handles overdrive and distortion very well, the other ones, just dont have the magic. but all positions sound bad with tone rolled all up. Also how can I adjust the 3rd string (G), it buzzes and I dont know hoiw to raise that thing lol.

Last thing was it a good deal for 370 bucks (shipping included), it has a hardshell case, and it is basically all stock except for the tremolo and phase switch.

you need a very small Allen wrench to adjust that saddle, you can probly find one in a $5 set at home depot.
Hopefully, a slight raise does the trick.

Thats really sweet!
I remember my first S-type. Mom got it for me for christmas out of a fingerhut catalog... a brownish yellow whitish Harmony. It made me appriciate things like "action" and "tuning"
So... I think you got a hell of a first one.

first string broke,,, I couldn't add the new set, tomorrow I'll send it to repair, also for them to adjust and clean everything, I dont know whats going on, it sounds cool while playing with no tone, but sounds like crap when I add even the smallest amount of tone, also my ne ck PUP sounds horrible, and I believe thats the main pup when buyinga strat LOL. Would that be the knobs? or PU problem?
Well as I have read before, you get what you pay for right?, 370 for a 1983 SQ + HSC :D

Try adjusting the pups height and see if it helps.
