Custom shop 56 relic
Hey Guys 1st post here, looks like a great forum, I have a 2005 56 relic model Strat, purchased used recently came with COA, all case candy etc, it is Surf green color, when I check out these guitars on Fender.com site I see they do not offer this model in this color? does anybody here have one or know when this color was discontinued? or know anything about it? thanks in advance, Steve

I have one in Fiesta Red, which also doesn't appear to be currently offered. They obviously change colours every now and then

They get enough requests or someone like Erderly or someone puts in a couple hundred guitar order. Then you have another finish available.
I like the 60RI NOS in Daphne Blue with a Rosewood board.
Surf Gren is cartainly a very nice Finish.

Thanks for the welcome to the board, It makes sense that Fender would switch colors around it keeps interest up from a marketing standpoint as well, I really like the fiesta Red, they are hitting these colors very close to orig, look, My next purchase wanted is a Masterbuilt or the 1957 super relic in 2 color, like to try the pick up set with 69 neck, 50s middle, and Texas special bridge sounds like a great set up, thanks for all the reply to my orig, question, will get some Strat pictures posted ASAP, Steve
