Stratocaster HSS

Ok, so im looking at getting a hss strat, however ive come across some things that have left me a bit confused.

There seems to be a huge price difference between normal strats and the hss equivalent. From what ive seen about £200! Which seems a huge amount for just replacing one single coil for a humbucker! Or are there further differences?

Also ive seen another guitar listed as "Stratocaster HSS Upgrade" which seem even cheaper than just the standard strat, whats the difference with the upgrade models?

You may be looking at the higher price Fat Strat, and not the Standard HSS.

The Standard Strat and the Standard HSS are priced the same.

The Fat Strat is part of the Deluxe series line. Right off the bat I noticed each use different Bridge HB pickups.

Here are the specs for each... There are also other HSS Flavors in the linup as well. Type HSS in the search box: Fender Strats

I had the American HSS in there before, I just updated with the MIM Standard specs which still employs different pickups apparently.
