Some Strat Photos from NAMM
I need to get more of these up. Here are some photos of the Billy Corgan Strats.
The finish is flat or only slightly glossy. It's a good look. Both of them look like a million bucks.

That's a nice looking guitar, quite the rocker I'd say.

Nice satin look to that finish. Yes, I too would bet that model is ready for high-output... Nice to see the variety instead of same-old, same-old.

Yeah, I've noticed that seller parts out just about every model. I suppose these guitars are worth more in parts than as whole????
Btw, have you heard any demos of new Strats, like this one?

Sonically - I'm sure it makes no difference.
Personally - I like my strats to have the vintage pickup and control cavity routes, and nothing else. Again, makes no difference in sound, just a personal preference.

I guess it depends on how much he's paying for the guitar to begin with. Might be a blem, where the neck is trashed, but he can still get a good price for the body, etc.
From the prices he's getting, I'm guessing he's making decent profit on the guitars. Plus, he knows the market - partscaster builders out there prefer to buy parts individually, rather than having to buy the whole guitar, then selling/trading whatever you don't use.

Of course they bend over backwards for you - you're practically supporting their wives and kids!
