When explaining this and all of its features, it gets kinda easy to overlook really cool things this thing can do...especially in comparison to similar products. But I was thinking about this just last night, while I was using my MicroBR...my buddy's band plays "Breakdown" by Tom Petty, seems fairly simple, G,A,F...but Im wanting to learn the riffs...and I dont own any Tom Petty on CD or MP3. So I goto a site like
GrooveShark or YouTube for your song. And then using a male to male 1/8" stereo cable(like most have already for an MP3 player) connecting the computers audio out to the stereo "Line In" on the MBR, Im able to record a digital copy of the song to MP3 or WAV, Im able to adjust the recorded level, Im even able to adjust the bit rate...I could save it to my computer if I wanted to(but I dont).
OR you could just record it as a stereo or mono track and minutes later record yourself playing along with the tracks, after you finish, you can lower the volume of the original track to zero and just hear yourself...add more layers(upto 32, its a four track recorder and youre able to bounce 8 times)...even add drum patterns(or metronome) that are built in. You could really create your own cover, and then convert it all to MP3 or WAV and then send it to all of your friends and family.
Oh and I cant forget to tell you bout the built in effects: guitar, vocal and recording effects(and you can use all of the effects before OR after recording)...makes for a really nice headphone amp...and sadly I havent plugged into my tube amps since I bought this
