After picking up my EJ Signature Strat yesterday, I've been looking at various EJ videos to listen to his playing on his which elicits his great tone. His amp collection is something and he uses a good deal of Fender amps among others apparently. Heres a clip from his "Picking technique" video from the Hot Licks series that I thought would be cool to post up...

I have both of his instructional videos and I just like to watch them sometimes without trying to learn anything. He's just so interesting in those videos.

I really like EJ's playing and his approach to the overall sound.

I'd really like to seem him in concert one day. Can't find a touring schedule for him though...

I picked up that video as DVD in a used book shop for very little and have seen it for sale used for little. I has been a worthy purchase for me.

I'll also say it influenced me to go to the same Jazz III picks for my electric playing (Strat, Tele) and move to the 1.0 Wegen bluegrass model pick I use for acoustic.

The Jazz III and electrics have improved my technique and tone - especially playing hybrid where it better matches the tone from the bare finger tips.
