Shielding & star grounding

Today I decided to give star grounding a go on a spare pickguard I have lying around. I used it as practice for my next project which is upgrading my Squier Affinity as soon as the new pickguard and etc arrive in the mail.

I used two ring terminals and 22 gauge solid core wire and it came out looking pretty good. It really simplifies things in the wiring.

When the Affinity goes under the soldering iron this weekend I've got a few extra plans for it:

-Shield the cavities using copper foil
-Put a small ring terminal on the bridge ground wire and screw it to the bottom of the shielded bridge pickup cavity so I no longer have to desolder it from the claw to remove the pickguard
-Wire in a connector for the jack wires so all I have to do is disconnect it to pull the pickguard away.
-Wire in a 1.0uf 250vdc metal film capacitor into the ground guitarnuts.com style (couldn't find a .33uf 400vdc as they recommend)
-Middle tone control moved to bridge pickup

I'll take pictures once I get it all finished. I may be preaching to the choir with this post but it may help someone once I get the details up.

If anybody has any ideas to add before I start on the project please share them.
