The Great Switcharoo!

Well, I have been playing, listening and comparing my two Strats and think that I have actually got two pretty good guitars. The things is that only one of them is a Fender (Highway One). The other one is a $100 cheapo copy that I bought to practice mods and tweaks on.

So, I am thinking of putting all the best parts on the Highway One and piecing the cheapocaster together with whats left.

The Great Switcharoo would mean me switching out the GFS pups for the EMG pickguard that I recently purchased. I would add to this the add of a master tone control and the addition of the EMG-SPC (already in the Highway One).

The other thing that I consider worth of changing would be the tuners. I have a set of more vitagey looking tuners that are very good and have a great feel about them.

So, I will continue to plan the changes and prepare for the best. My question for you all is this, if you were me what would you do? Would you do the changes to put the "best" parts all on one guitar and hope for the best?

Let's hear your suggestions.

Bob
