Polishing fret ends from my Hot Rod '62 Strat

I would like to have same kind of really smooth feeling on the fretboard edge of my HR'62 as American Deluxe Strats have. American Deluxes feel really smooth and my Hot Rod is otherwise great but those fret ends are kinda bothering me. So how can I achieve this? Do you have any tips how I should do this to make my HR62 feel smoother? There aren't really any guitar techs near were I live so I would like to try it myself if it's not too hard or dangerous to do it.

Thanks in advance for your help!
