Hipshot Trilogy bridge - any good?

I'm thinking about getting one so I can avoid bringing three guitars to gigs (std, open G & open D). Does anyone have it? Does it work well? How did the install go?

Thanks!

Well, I just bought the Trilogy - AND IT DOESN'T FIT!! I even checked with hipshot before I shelled out my cash and they said "no problem". Apparently it will fit a vintage-style Strat, but not the American deluxe style. I'm not sure what I'm going to do now...

a couple of options...

I saw this on eBay last night... using just the tension lever section with a different bridge. (jpg attached)

Another option is sell it to me as I am looking to purchase one!

Ceraph - thanks, I'm not sure I want to do something quite that radical. I've sent pics to Hipshot and asked for help, but they haven't responded yet.

ok, it turned out that the folks at Hipshot were very helpful, and I've got my Trilogy installed - it works great. I can now change smoothly and easily from standard tuning to open E, D, G and many others.

WOW!!! That looks like a major league upgrade! Adds a lot of mass to the bridge area. Glad it works!!
