Mute in a Fat Strat

Anyone put a mute switch in their fat strat? I'm pretty sure how to do it, but I don't wanna make any lethal choices. I'm suppose to place both prongs on the switch to both prongs on the output correct? Doesn't matter which to which?

Maybe doing a search for the "Buckethead" mod will give you what you are looking for. From what I read of your post at TDPRI.com it sounds like you are on the right track.
Go for it!
