MIJ Strat with System I bridge...HELP!!

Hello Stratheads out there!!! I have four strats and love them all! I have an American Big Apple Strat, American Deluxe Fat Strat with the LSR Roller Nut, a 60th Anniversary Mex Diamond Series Strat, and an 80s Japanese Strat. My issue is this: I have come to possess a 1986 Fender Stratocaster MIJ with the Fender Kahler System I tremolo on it. I think that the tremolo is pretty cool, but i am looking for something different, something more...Frankenstein...ish. Is anyone out there who is familiar these Strats and their specs? If so...Can you let me know if i can drop in an Original Floyd Rose bridge? If i have to do any serious drilling, than i will probably just pass it up and replace some of the rusted out parts on the System I. Just trying to eyeball the guitar, it seems like an original floyd rose would be able to just drop right in. I know that it wouldn't be possible with the American 2 point bridges, but the System I's 2 pivots are wider than the Americans, so would i be able to do this? I don't know the specs and i definately don't wanna drop upwards of $200 on a bridge i won't be able to use!...so if you know, please let me know what's up and help me out...Thanks to all...Strats For Life!!!!....Grant

To put a Floyd in it you'd have to do some drilling, there are modern replacements for 'em that are really easy to install. http://www.wammiworld.com/System%201.html. If you do take it out let me know, I'll have it :D
