Dead guitar

So I never finished put the mute switch in since I have no drill, but I did solder the wires to the hot and to the ground. I'm just waiting on a drill still. I wrapped the wires up and put them in the body and put the pickguard back on the guitar. I plugged in and I have no signal. Did I fry the board? If I did what can I do to get it to work.

maybe the wires on the switch need to be reversed.
