07 American FSR 72 Reissue Custom Telecaster

The 2007 - 72 tele (deluxe and cstm) reissues were MIM. I have come across a MIA FRS 72 reissue custom tele. Yes made in America. Anyone seen one of these or know the model # or how many were made? The model # for the MIM is 013-7500-(Color#). "013" in the model # means Mexico.

I haven't seen this guitar. According to the catalogue, it is not a regular production model, perhaps it is a Custom Shop model I wasn't aware of.

If I'm gonna buy a 3 bolt guitar, it will almost certainly be another G + L.

The Fender part number for this special run guitar is 017-0017-806. Got it from the Fender hang tag. Looks like Fender does not track special runs, as my local guitar shop told me that the part number does not even exist in Fender's system.

Sometimes FSRs are done for export, but the model bombs in export and the guitars end up in the hands of select dealers here.

I've never heard or seen such a 2007 US model, Sorry.

I've just found a '72 Tele Deluxe Custom Shop Relic an a store in Hong Kong. The serial no is R37697. It is FANTASTIC to play. So easy. I have not yet bought it, but I called the Custom shop and all they could say is that it was dispatched to that retailer, and that it was probably from a small batch of guitars made. I saw the certificate and it was produced last year (2007). Can anyone tell me what I should be paying? Do these guitars increase in value? ANY info is welcome.

Yes, I've got one!

I was told it was made for export to Japan. How it ended up here for sale I'm not sure but I sure am happy it was!
