Saddles for a '59?

Hey everyone! New here, came over from the TDPRI. I have a '59 strat that for some ungodly reason has 70's saddles on it. Anybody around here have some originals, or know where any might be? Long shot, but figured you were the guys to ask!

Thanks in advance.

Hi 51tele

Any chance you have any pictures of your '59? There are some early 59's that have transitional pickguards with a weird number of screws in them. The one I have is serial 378XX and only has 10 screws! How many does yours have?

I have a '61 Strat and the only things non-original are the bridge saddles and a 5-way pickup selector. I've seen the oiginal saddles on Ebay for $6-700, but I'll keep mine the way it is unless I ever sell it, I'd then return it to original specs.

There are some totally accurate repro saddles that would fool an awful lot of people with just a little work on them and they don't cost 600 usd - I would neve take the chance of buying what purport to be original saddles because I know someone could fool me with the ones I got !! You should be able to get a set for 250 usd easy.

One tip on the real deal parts. All vintage Fender bridge saddles for all models are case hardened and not the softer steel as found in the reproductions you see advertised.
